Stricker:  What do you miss the most about Australia? 

Ridge:  Certainly having lived in a country for 36 years, when you leave it there are special things you miss.

Stricker: Can you tell me about WD-40?

Stricker: How do you think you became so successful?

Ridge: Well thanks for saying I am. But the real secret is you are as good as the team you work with and I am fortunate to have a great team of people. My motto is "I am not here to mark your paper I am here to help you get an A" - A leader needs to create an environment where people share the vision and values of the company and are passionate about the dream.

Stricker: What kind of traits does it take to have that success?

Ridge: What advise do you have for kids to be successful?
•Don't expect things to happen - you need to have a vision and a dream.
•Believe in yourself.
•Be a relentless learner - we all have much to learn.
•Never give up.
•Respect others and look for them doing good things and recognize them.
•Be nice to your Mom and Dad, they have a lot to share

Stricker: Did you have someone you admired and looked up to as a role model?

Ridge: My Dad, he worked for one company for 50 years - he made me appreciate the value of a good work ethic.
